Prom!

So I know I havent updated here in a while but I promised that I would post up some pictures from prom! For those who dont know I went to tennessee last weekend to go to my friend Spencer’s (@Huffdaddyjr22) prom with him! It was SO much fun and I met such amazing people and made a ton of new friends! True Friends….

Tonight I learned a lot about true friendship and what it means. Tonight was my pageant. I was competing for the title of Miss Greater Ventura County Teen USA. (lots of words right?!) hahaha. anyhoo, that was tonight and I ended up placing Second Runner Up! As well as winning the People’s Choice award. so at least the audience wanted me to win right!? hahaha. either way, not a big deal. God always has a plan and this wasn’t his for mine, he knows what hes doing with my life and where I am supposed to be and I’m trusting him every step of the way. Only bigger and better things can happen! 

but i just wanted to take this time to say that friendship is something thats very important. I try to be there for all of my friends, any time, any day, anywhere no matter what. i guess because im usually there for my friends any possible time i can be, i get a little selfish and upset when my friends cant be there for the really important things in my life. and although this pageant wasnt a huge thing, it was still really important to me. i invited i believe 8 people to my pageant, 2 of them were doug and shanley, who ended up bringing chris, kate, and kelsey (which i am so thankful for) but only 2 out of my 8 friends invited came to my pageant. and i understand it was far. but there were some people who didnt even let me know they werent coming until the night before. let alone just not let me know in general. when you tell me on wednesday that youre definitely coming and then when i try calling, tweeting, and texting you over and over and over again trying to confirm if youre coming so i can get you a ticket and i get no sort of response or answer or anything, well thats just rude and it makes me reconsider what our friendship means to you. a lot of sketchy things have been going on with my friends lately and i feel like i dont know who they really are anymore. i understand stuff comes up and its not right of me to be mad and selfish when other things happen, and i get that and understand it, but yeah it still upsets me a little bit. 

BUT the people that WERE there for me tonight (doug, chris, katelyn, shanley, and kelsey) i am utterly so incredibly happy to have you in my life. because you werent there just if i won, you there to see me and to watch me compete, end of the day you were there for me just because i was your friend. and that really means the world to me. you guys were all so amazing when it came to cheering me on and really made the night soooo much fun and such a blast.

anyhoo thats my little shpeal on friendship for tonight! remember to be there for you friends you guys, no matter what, and if you cant be there, at least let them know and tell them that youre thinking about them!

so even though i always feel lame for doing it, i did a mini little photoshoot with myself after i got my hair done, so thats what the first ones are from. i couldnt help it. and then the second set of photos are jared and i hanging out one night over at katies at like 2am and we were both really tired so we decided to have a mini photoshoot!

Procrastination leads to an update on tumblr! Yay!

OKAY! soo i know that i have been really awful at this blogging thing. im beyond failing. BUT im procrastinating on my homework and i figured what else should i do but update on this?! now since its been like, a month since i last blogged im just gonna put little random pictures here and there and let you guys know what ive been doing the past month! yay! here we go!

“You Won’t Be 17 Forever…”

Hey There Cool Kids On Tumblr, 

So I know that I’ve been REALLY horrible at keeping up with this whole “blogging” thing. Stuff has just been so ridiculously crazy lately. I had my college audition for USC school of theatre this week (scary!!) which I think went really well so fingers are crossed! I find out in april! ahh! On top of that its just been ridiculous. Oh, random fun fact, but I was voted “Most Malibu” in my high schools senior polls. Apparently I won by a landslide too. Kinda confused about that seeing as how I do the independent study program at malibu high and i go to one class a day for an hour a day and i hardly interact with anyone while im there. either way, kinda cool that i was nominated and chosen as something for senior class polls! never thought that would happen! Unfortunately this isnt a catch up and post pictures blog tonight haha. This is just a “greers gonna talk forever” sort of post hahaha. 

ANYWAY. the REAL reason why im writing on here is because today-february 14th, 2010- is my last day being 17. Weird. I’ve just been thinking about how much has happened this past year. It’s honestly so crazy. Especially coming back to this weekend. I know I’ve said it before but this weekend one year ago is when my life truly started. I met so many people for the first time last year on this weekend that I’m now so close with and also people that have helped me grow. Friday-February 13th, 2009-was when Jared and I were still on our way to becoming best friends. We went over to my agents house actually and had dinner with glenn (an awesome friend now) and randi (one of the best). We went to our friend devons after and hung out with awesome friends and people. Valentines day on Saturday was pretty great. My friend David had a valentines day party and everyone was there. It was the first night I met many different people. Some who had a huge impact on my life in 2009. I remember turning 17 at midnight and Sterling and Devon started singing me happy birthday really loud and obnoxiously. It was pretty comical. My actual birthday (february 15th) is the day that one of my best friends @jkaquinn and I actually BECAME best friends. One of the most epic and amazing birthdays of my life, and believe me, it was NOT like that in the beginning but it turned out amazing and we bonded over it. Oh, hey, Jessie: “Whyy arent i prettttyyyy?!?! =’(” hahahaha. great times. 

My life truly started that year and I really became who I was. I’ve grown so much in this past year and it’s because of all the amazing friends that I have. They have made me who I am. All the struggles that happened (and believe me, there were quite a few) were all worth it. They’ve helped me grow and mature and become who I am today. I have grown so much closer with the Lord this year (thanks to tiffany, one of the most amazing people in my life-so blessed to have her) and I have learned to let my faith lead me and put my trust in God and that everything will happen the way it’s supposed to. God always has a plan. I have learned so much in this past year and I will always remember being 17 as a great year and a year where I truly found myself. I’ve loved every minute of it and honestly would not change any of it if I was given the chance. 

Anyway, thats my little shpeal for tonight! Still so weird that on Monday I’m gonna be 18. AH! Let’s hope it’s just as good and I learn as much as I have this past year.

Oh. P.S. random little thing- I have no idea WHEN i became a 40 year old woman. I seriously hate going out now and my favorite part of the day is when I get to come back home, put on my sweats, curl up in my bed, make some tea, and read a book. Seriously, I’m not joking. Hahahaha.

im gonna change it up a little bit now…

OKAY. so i think we have all realized that i am very bad at this whole “take a picture everyday and post a blog everyday” seeing as how im failing….miserably. SO i decided to change up my rules and do a “Once a week blog” where i update every sunday on how my week was with pictures from the week. its an excuse for me being lazy and busy and not always having time to take a picture everyday. so i think thats what im gonna do. yeah. SO here it goes: 

Tuesday:

^^okay so its not rotating the way i want. but this is how awesome my tutor is. this is how he explains pre-calc to me. prettttty awesome.

Wednesday: i had an audition in hollywood that films on the same lot as sonny on wednesday so then after i went over, met up with tiffany and we ran through the rain, got food, and went shopping at target!

Friday: Friday i went to the set of sonny! everyone loves my cupcakes there so i always bring them! then i went and stayed the night at the brochus house! it was a lot of fun.

Sunday: stayed at the brochus all weekend and then after going to church we went to toys r us. i forgot how amazing it was. we got nerf guns and then had nerf wars when we got back home. SO. MUCH. FUN.

Unfortunately no pictures…

so unfortunately there were no pictures for yesterday or today =[ 

it was rainy and silly and i didnt do much, plus i wanted a family day with my mom. 

Sunday i came home from tiffanys and watched movies all day with my mama. we also watched the golden globes! so happy glee one for best tv show and SO happy that jim (james cameron) won both best director and best picture! that man was like a second father to me growing up, his wife suzy taught me how to tie my shoes, his daughter josephine and i had the same bday but a year apart and i remember him flying home from filming titanic to be at our birthday party, i have so much love and respect for him and will always think of him as a father figure to me. 

Today I woke up at like 10, did tutoring, then did some homework, did some more tutoring, watched how i met your mother, accidentally on purpose, two and a half men, and life unexpected! haha so many shows. life unexpected is definitely a new favorite though. i remember auditioning for it over a year ago! its so good, really. definitely recommend it! i baked some cookies for my mom and i and my mom also made home made chicken soup =] SO good on rainy days. it was a pretty nice and good relaxing day! i needed it! 

Well thats it for now! i promise im gonna get better at this whole blog thing, its just difficult right now! but ill get better! PROMISE! =D
